Born from the desire to reinvent the classic old fashioned glass, the Rauk Heavy Tumbler abandons ornate crystal cuts in favor of pure, geometric precision. Each tumbler is forged in a single press of molten crystal into a five‑part mold, producing sharp edges that dissolve into soft curves — a seamless fusion of material and form. This innovation, combined with a weighted base and chevron‑textured interior, creates a glass that is both substantial in presence and purposeful in design.

A modern reinterpretation of the classic old fashioned glass, designed for whiskey and bourbon lovers who enjoy their spirit chilled on the rocks (or those neat drinkers who want a little heft in their pour). And for those who revel in the crafted cocktail, the tumbler features a core innovation. Inside the glass, extruded chevrons radiate from the center, offering friction to grip ingredients for muddled-in-glass drinks.

Foregoing the ornamentation of cut crystal, the entire surface of the tumbler, inside and out, is born in a single blinding moment of machine-pressing the molten non-leaded crystal into a complex five-part mold. The tumbler is available in two standard sizes: a 250 ml (or OF) and a 350 ml (or DOF). Which size is right for you will depend on how heavy you like your glass and the intended use. We bought both sizes. The bigger one is very heavy and good for cocktails. I have small hands, so it's a bit big for me. The smaller one is also very heavy and good for whisky. I can hold these ones perfectly. We love them. They are beautiful.

Which heavy tumbler is right for you?

Crystal tumblers (non-leaded like ours included) are hefty objects. They certainly make their presence felt in the hand. The original Heavy Tumbler is the 250 ML size; it is compact but by no means slight. The larger, 350 ML Heavy Tumbler is a scaled up sibling; it is suitable for those with a large, firm grip.

As for the color of your tumbler, that's largely down to personal preference. A clear crystal tumbler is a thing of brilliance. But a smokey grey glass is modern and elegant, and we venture that our matte black, mirrored interior tumbler is utterly unique in the glassware world.

The clear versions are dishwasher safe, however, we recommend you always hand wash and dry your glasses with a non-abrasive cloth to ensure their longevity.

While we do not offer engraving services, any engraving specialist should be more than happy to work on these glasses.

Note: The black and grey editions are coated in a glass lacquer. Engraving the exterior may remove this finish and we recommend first consulting with a professional.
